Bedina Achille 
 
Bedina is from Petite Rivière de l’Artibonite. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in linguistics from the State University of Haiti. Those who have met her can attest to her ability to engage deeply with ideas and to recognize their power to inspire meaningful transformation. Convinced that unity and critical consciousness can change realities, she follows a path of growth and awakening, with a strong commitment to contributing to the development of others, especially women, through dialogue and leadership.
She is one of the founding members of the Amilcar Cabral Society and served as its Executive Coordinator for two years, from 2023 to 2025. Having excelled in her executive role, taking the society to the next level and helping expand the Institute’s work in the northwest, she now serves as one of the co-directors overseeing the Institute’s initiatives throughout Haiti.
Bedina lives in Anse-à-Foleur and manages the Santrova Research Center and the Marie Erline Lamy Leadership Academy.
 

                                                                       
Jonathan Wood Sévère
DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC INITIATIVES
 
Jonathan was born and raised in Petite Rivière de l’Artibonite, Haiti. A visionary leader, He helped found the Amílcar Cabral Society and served as its first National Coordinator. In his new role as Director of Strategic Initiatives, he works with the Institute’s leadership team to develop and implement programs and projects that advance the organization’s vision. Danielle N. Buteau, J.D.
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
 
Originally from Cleveland, TN, Danielle moved to Atlanta, GA, in 2010 to attend law school, where she focused on public interest law. Danielle is deeply committed to justice and empowerment. She seeks to help Haitians succeed in Atlanta. Danielle manages the day-to-day administrative operations of the Institute and oversees fundraising. She lives with her husband, Emmanuel, in Atlanta, Georgia.
 
 
 

Emmanuel Buteau, PhD
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
 
Born in Port-au-Prince and raised in Port-à-Piment, Haiti, Emmanuel emigrated to the United States in 1993 and settled in Atlanta, GA, with his family in 1994. A passionate Practical Theologian with deep roots in the Haitian community, he has dedicated his scholarship to helping Haitians reach their full potential and take grasp of their own destiny. Emmanuel’s areas of research include both Haitian religion and culture. Emmanuel oversees the executive administration of the Institute. He lives with his wife, Danielle, in Atlanta, Georgia.
